The Newman Catholic Student Center at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale routinely seeks people looking to work in Catholic campus ministry as paid interns. The positions are renewable and begin before each Fall and Spring semester. The campus ministry interns will work in collaboration with other staff and our Student Ministry Team to provide a comprehensive program of pastoral care, evangelization, discipleship formation, sacramental celebration, theological reflection, spiritual growth, leadership development, retreats, and service opportunities for undergraduate students. Precise duties can be customized to the interests and qualifications of the candidate.
Requirements: Baccalaureate degree or higher. Practicing Catholic with a commitment to missionary discipleship. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in working with a campus ministry program and to those with experience in music ministry.
