Welcome!

COVID-19 Liturgy UPDATES:

Registrations to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation are now available at this link siucnewman.org/blog/spiritual/

We are limited to having ten people in attendance to celebrate the Sacrament, so you must register for the time and date listed in order to participate. If you know someone without internet access or who is unable to register themselves, you can fill out the registration form on their behalf or direct them to call and leave a voicemail for Fr. Bob Flannery at (618) 457-4556. He will call them back to confirm that there is space.

The Newman Center and St. Francis Xavier are in need of non-vulnerable volunteers (under 65 with no underlying health conditions) to begin implementing the Diocesan plan for reopening Churches.  Please email tim@siucnewman.org if you are able to help, and begin by viewing the training webinar from the Archdiocese of Chicago at this link (click on “Watch on the Web instead” and then “Join anonymously”).

Currently, all public Masses and liturgical services are temporarily suspended in the Diocese of Belleville.  There is a plan to begin reopening some elements (but not public Masses) as early as May 30th.  You can keep up to date on the Diocesan guidelines and procedures at
