Position Available for Spring 2018:  Paid Campus Ministry Internship

Job Description

The Newman Catholic Student Center serves the Catholic community at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. We are seeking a Catholic Campus Minister for a full-time, paid internship starting on or about January 7, 2019. The campus minister will work in collaboration with other staff and our Student Ministry Team to provide a comprehensive program of pastoral care, evangelization, discipleship formation, sacramental celebration, spiritual growth, and service opportunities for undergraduate students. Precise duties can be customized to the interests and qualifications of the candidate.

Compensation

Housing, medical benefits, and a salary of $1500 per month provided.

Requirements

Practicing Catholic with a commitment to missionary discipleship. Baccalaureate degree or higher. Preference will be given to candidates with experience and demonstrated success in working with a campus ministry program, and to those with experience in music ministry.
